Mother Nature Speaks: A Call for Harmony
“Well, hello there, darling! Isn’t it just the loveliest day to stop and have a chat? Now, I don’t mean to intrude, but when you’ve been around as long as I have, you notice when things are a little… off-kilter. So here I am, stepping in like I always do—not to scold, heavens no, but to nudge, inspire, and maybe sprinkle in a little magic to get us back on track.
You know me, of course. I’m the one who keeps the seasons turning, the rivers flowing, and the stars shining just so. Every blade of grass, every gust of wind, every sunrise—it’s all part of my grand tapestry. And what a tapestry it is! But lately, I’ve been noticing some threads getting a little tangled. A little too much here, not enough there. Balance, my dear, is what I live for. Without it, the whole show falls apart.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: ‘Mother Nature, how can I possibly help with all this?’ Oh, sugarplum, let me tell you—every single one of you plays a part. From the tiniest seed of kindness you plant to the grand forests of decisions you grow, you're part of the story. And isn’t that just thrilling?
Let’s start small, shall we? The first doll in our nesting set—the self. That’s you, darling. Your thoughts, your actions, your choices. Balance starts right there, within you. Are you taking time to breathe, to reflect, to find harmony between the rush of the day and the quiet of the evening? That inner peace of yours is like a pebble dropped into a pond—it ripples out further than you can imagine. So start small: take a walk, plant a flower, write down one thing you’re grateful for today. These little acts are the seeds of harmony.
Next up, the layer of love and partnership—marriage, family, those closest to you. Oh, I adore this one! It’s where yin meets yang, where compromise and understanding work their magic. No one said harmony was easy, but isn’t it worth the effort? A strong family or partnership doesn’t just lift itself; it lifts the whole world a little higher. Maybe today, that means setting the table together, saying thank you more often, or simply listening with an open heart.
And then, of course, there’s the community. Your neighbors, your friends, your colleagues—those marvelous, messy groups of people who remind you that no one can do it all alone. Communities thrive on a balance of giving and receiving, on understanding that everyone’s voice matters, and that even the smallest kindness can tip the scales toward joy. Check in on a neighbor. Volunteer at the local garden. Show up at a town meeting. These are small steps with big ripples.
Now, let’s not forget the big doll—the one most folks grumble about—the centralized authority. Oh, I know it’s not perfect, but love, it’s part of the design. Governments, institutions, systems—they’re tools, not enemies. They just need a little guidance, a little push from all of us to keep them aligned with what’s good and just. That’s where you come in. Advocate, vote, build bridges. Help keep that big ol' doll balanced and grounded.
And here’s the twist in the tale: harmony doesn’t care who you are, what you believe, or what path you’ve walked. It just asks for effort. Religion, science, faith, skepticism—I need it all. My tapestry isn’t made of one thread but millions, each unique and vital. So, to the faithful, I say bring your prayers. To the atheists, bring your reason. To the dreamers, your visions. And to the doers, oh, bring your action! This world needs every bit of you.
Balance isn’t about being perfect. It’s about paying attention, doing your part, and trusting that when we all work together, magic happens. You see, darling, harmony doesn’t just happen—it’s created, stitch by stitch, choice by choice. And when we get it right? Oh, there’s nothing more beautiful.
So here’s what I’m asking: let’s waltz. Take my hand, steady my tapestry, and together we’ll make this world sing. It’s not just about saving it—it’s about celebrating it, loving it, and making it a masterpiece for generations to come.
Now, don’t just stand there—there’s work to do! And I promise, every little thing you do to bring balance and beauty back to this world will come right back to you tenfold. Trust me, sugar. I’ve been around long enough to know.” (*)
An Individual Speaks: A Call to Harmony
Big fish eats the little fish. Aren't we all so sick of dominant relationships and the cycle of abuse, no matter the layer of our hierarchy or nesting doll? The layers we find in ourselves and in our world are fraught with conflict for control. You could tell me domination is reality and to just deal with it. That we are carnivores, we eat meat, and dominance is the natural order.
Well, I can tell you there are exceptions in nature. Our consciousness is one. One vegetarian spider out of 40,000 predators is another. We have this level of consciousness, to be master of our fate, and choose our path. Let’s find a better natural way and navigate ourselves back to balance with nature, abandoning the dog-eat-dog world.
We must recognize the yin/yang starting with self and telescoping outward into family, community, and beyond. We can do this by recognizing dominant and recessive energies and creating checks and balances for them in each nesting doll that contain and direct energy.
When there is an even and balanced exchange, when neither side is stagnated by lack of movement, there is balance. When dominance grows and takes over, it poisons itself by its very nature of not letting go. When recessiveness fails to reach for power, it poisons itself by not taking responsibility.
By creating a dualistic system in every layer that communicates, exchanges, checks, and balances, we can find balance within each nesting doll with the symbolic marriage of yin and yang. By symbolic marriage, our goal is a working dualism in each level of society and self.
Harmony must be sought in each layer: not to neglect the lone individual that represents self, or a collaborative centralized authority that must not be neglected either. But finding the balance of dualism in each nesting doll, or hierarchy if you want to call it that.
If someone so chooses, there is both room to believe and to not believe in a higher power. But for those who do, or will, or won’t: in our outermost nesting dolls, we reside nestled within an unreachable god. Affected by, but not dependent on. We find the influence of God in the innermost and the outermost nesting doll: always beyond our reach and growing as we grow, suffering when we suffer, affecting us from within and without.
Yes, we are victims of our inner nature, but nature can save us by looking more closely at ourselves and the world, crafting our place in it—not just riding the waves of effect. We do that by embracing dualism and the balance we can achieve with it. Balancing our subjective and objective world in each nesting doll of our reality. We start with self and will find ourselves less dominated by larger nesting dolls and, in fact, having an effect on them—not always vice versa.
Harmony is a journey, find your inner natural dualism today and balance it. Tomorrow needs you.
