Circling the Whale

Circling the Whale

These pieces weren’t written as a planned series. They emerged while I kept finding myself returning to the same questions—about obsession, orientation, authorship, and what happens when meaning becomes spectacle.

Looking back, I see them less as essays and more as orbits. Each one circles a large presence—sometimes Moby-Dick, sometimes The Menu, sometimes the systems behind them—without trying to capture it.

This page gathers those orbits in one place.
